I’ve been seeing the “Things that are worth the money” some are the “EXPENSIVE things that are worth the money” trend on social media. Ofcourse I’m going for the former. One day is one day, sizopopa.
Top of the list is convenience. Honestly we have no reason to struggle if money to get it done is actually there. Dial that delivery babes than go against your body that’s screaming at you ‘not today!’ Get someone to do your laundry on a weekend you want to sleep in after a long ass week of fire fighting at work. Phila soft. Zitotoze.
A massage! Life throws curve balls and believe you me, that takes a toll on our bodies. Our 8 to 5s, however that looks like, our social lives, …Ngithi life nje is hectic so if you have the money for a massage, knock yourself out. I’ve done this once with my bff and it was so worth it…and best believe if I get extra money I’m definitely going back but for now my personal free masseuse aka the guy I share my home WiFi with will have to work (and I appreciate the happy endings. Ah ngyazdlalela).
Matching underwear… Felicia! Felicia! Felicia! Most of your underwear must be matching! I repeat! ipenti le bra must match, combo must communicate. No way all your underwear in your wardrobe will be matching sets because we have period panties and and and…
But on a scale of 1-5, be on 4 ntombi or atleast 3.5…nothing less. Same with workout sets…and here’s a trick I’ve been trying…
Workout sets tip: I buy these from the prestigious Khot’ma boutique, read Bend down boutiques, and sets are hard to find in such a place but I go for tights and tops of same colour…almost same shade.
Same applies to underwear, if you have a thong in brown, and doesn’t come as a set, look for a brown bra that goes well and would look like a perfect set. Voila!
Good toiletries! Eyyy bandla! I cannot not over emphasize this! Know your skin, and love your skin. Nothing like a good glowing skin to boost your confidence. WHAT A CONFIDENCE BOOSTER! Get body butters, get shower oils, get shampoo, get roll on, get a spritzer, a nice perfume, get body scrubs…don’t just scrub your face, your whole body baby. Cazimula mhan. Nothing like coming back home and your skin is still moisturized and you’re still smelling fresh. And here’s a free tip, if you want to know how you smell after your day, take off your bra and smell it. The scent you’ll smell, is what we smell on you. So in the spirit of Ubuntu, I will not gate keep from sisterhood and brotherhood because newsflash bathing is a universal sport…please don’t walk but run! I mean ruunnnn to The Toiletry bag. This is where I get my toiletries. It’s the good stuff not okwenu lokhu okwemkotweni. Real, original brands…and don’t worry about where you are. Wherever you are, toiletry bag will reach you.
Traveling…let’s travel guys. Let’s see places. Open up ourselves to different environments and cultures and experiences. I don’t have the longest list of places I’ve been to but I’m trying. Trying so hard to budget and save up for it because as one of my friends would say “life is for the living” and it indeed is. Travelling is so relaxing, it does something good to your mind…it’s like that dopamine feeling and if taking a drive to Chinhoyi, just next door can do that for me, what will Cape Town do? Wena Zanzibar? Wena Dubai? Wena Seychelles? From my blog to God’s ears. Dankie Mdali.
I can go on and on and on, adding sunscreen, a good nail set and this would just become too long a post and we don’t want that.
So, I’d like to hear from you what your top 2 or three or four things that YOUR money will definitely buy.
Love & light 🧡
