The way to Fikile’s heart is through her stomach. No shame about it. Get me food and I am bound to like you forever. There’s a fairly new place in town called Roasted bean which my close friend discovered and suggested we try it out. It’s a really nice, small outdoorsy space. Located in the quiet part of CBD, 10^th avenue and corner Parirenyatwa. 

Aesthetics

I loved the wooden chairs and table, the cute light holders and the green lawn which gives it a fresh look. Its really not a big space, but it works. Quite intimate too if you’re with the bae but my date was super perfect! Love them.

Customer service

Service was flawless. Our order didn’t take a long time to be prepared. I liked the jars they served our drinks in. I have a weird obsession for drinking jars lately, so that’s why. Shout out to the cute dreadlocked waiter.

Menu

They don’t have a big menu and its light meals that they serve. So don’t go there hungry like 10 devils. You won’t find your t-bones and half chicken and chips kinda meals. They serve samosas, chicken/beef wraps, beef/chicken salad, bunny chaw (which l will definitely be going back to try) and there’s a little bit more. They have sweet treats too and on that day they had cheesecake. Downside though, the menu doesn’t have chips and I love chips so that was a bummer for me. I ordered a chicken salad and my friend got the chicken wrap, peri-peri chicken. As per the usual, we both a had a taste of each other’s meals. Her wrap was delicious, but very hot, I could even fill it in my ears. She had tears coming out her eyes lol.

My salad was perfect, but what blew my mind was the dressing. I still can’t get over how nice it was. The perfect dressing for the salad. It came with chicken strips, lettuce, a bit of red cabbage, cherry tomatoes (eeew), gherkins, and green olives. That, so far, is the best chicken salad I have ever had. I promise you. 

So if you’re looking for a light meal, that is the place to visit. And another thing is that their prices are friendly to the wallet, probably why I think I am going to be a regular there. 

I had a nice time. I had great company and they played nice music so that made the vibes even more cool.
